Husband-wife team serves catch of the day to diverse Village By Mary Ellen Gambon Many people recently have become interested in Roslindale because of the success of its new businesses. But Roslindale would not be complete without its veteran shops that have withstood bad times and are now capitalizing on Roslindale's popularity. One of these businesses is Roslindale Fish Market at 38 Poplar Street, owned and operated by William and Hope Bregianos. |

| "We are a husband and wife operation," said Hope. "We divide the work. Usually I will watch the store and help the customers while my husband unloads the fish."
The shop has been in Roslindale for more than two decades. The Bregianos family has operated it for the past 14. "My dad owned the business before, and then we took it over," said Hope. "It can be really hectic here, and there's a lot of stress, but it's also lots of fun. We have many customers who have been coming to us regularly |

| She added that the best part of working in Roslindale is its multicultural atmosphere.
"I like to cater to a diversity of people," said Hope. "We have many clients who are Greek, Lebanese and Italian. We try to offer a variety of fish and other products that everyone can enjoy. People from one culture can try food that is popular in another." |

| While Roslindale Fish Market offers something for everyone, one thing that remains constant is the high quality of the fish.
"Everything is fresh off the boat," said Hope. "You can tell by the whiteness of the fish that it was caught that morning." Click here for a sampling of the specialties that you can find at Roslindale Fish Market! |
